This course is designed for students who are new to Publisher. Topics covered in this course are page layout, setting rulers and guides, working with text, adding objects and images, and layering objects. Other topics shown include using master pages, working with templates, the design checker and packing and unpacking publications. Prerequisites: Basic computer concepts/skills and knowledge of Windows, PowerPoint and/or Word.

In this course, you will use Microsoft Office OneNote to create different kinds of notes. You will also organize, locate, and share information using OneNote as well as enhance notes and integrate them with other applications. This course is designed for new users who are creating electronic presentations. In this course students will explore the PowerPoint environment, create a presentation, add text and themes, format text on slides, add graphical objects and modify them, as well as the preparation involved in delivering a presentation. Prerequisites: Basic computer concepts/skills and knowledge of Windows.
This course is designed for current users who wish to enhance their presentation with features that will transform it into an effective means of communication. Students will learn how to manipulate themes, share slides between presentations and import text. Charting and the use of tables are also covered as well as graphics, animations, and packaging presentations. Prerequisites: PowerPoint Level I or equivalent experience.
This course is designed for new Excel users who require the skills necessary to set up a spreadsheet and use basic business spreadsheet functions. Students will become familiar with the Excel program screen, Ribbon, Office Button, Quick Access toolbar as well as contextual menus and the Mini toolbar. Participants will learn worksheet basics including creating, saving and opening workbooks, and basic editing tools. This course will also show students how to create simple formulas, use built in functions as well as an introduction to relative and absolute references. Participants will learn to manipulate windows for better viewing as well as work with cut/copy/paste features to move data, format their worksheet and prepare headers and footers for printing. Working with objects such as clip art, SmartArt and graphic objects will be introduced. Prerequisite: Basic computer concepts/skills and knowledge of Windows.
This course introduces a user to Excel's intermediate features to edit, analyze and organize data. Building on skills learned in Level 1, more advanced uses of formulas and formats are explored along with creating and defining range names. In addition, how to protect worksheets and files is discussed. Participants will also learn how to plot chart data and develop skills to manage multiple worksheets. Prerequisite: Excel Level I or equivalent experience.
Designed for new users, this course will familiarize students with the basics of the application. Students will learn how to use the command menus, create/save documents, edit and format text and paragraphs, layout pages, and print documents. Time will also be spent looking at the additional word features such as templates, spell checking, and AutoCorrect.
Prerequisites: Basic computer concepts/skills and knowledge of Windows.
Designed for students with some experience in Word, this course will look at customizing page layouts with the inclusion of section breaks and styles. Time will also be spent on exploring templates and wizards, using a table of contents, creating ad modifying tables, and the mail merge process. Prerequisites: Word Level I or equivalent experience.
